COMING THIS MONTH: A $750 BILLION CORPORATE BOND-BUYING PROGRAM
Everyday Americans can breathe a sigh of relief. Don’t worry. Your corporate bond portfolios will be subsidized. Thank goodness. What, you don’t own any corporate bonds? Well, if so, too late. The prices are already way up.
Considering how many economic and legal professors there are in America, one would think that a significant number of them would consistently challenge the Fed and the government on issues such as multitrillion-dollar bailout programs, or at least make a concerted effort to enlighten the public on the government’s anticapitalist endeavors. Sadly, there seems to be little desire for the “experts” to bring this to the public’s attention, even though the public is liable to pay for these programs without ever consenting to them.
