CA Gov. Newsom redirects gas tax money. It won’t fund highways, will fund railway system
The highway is falling apart but the money for roads is being highjacked for pet projects.

“One of the very first things Governor Newsom decides to do, is put forward an executive order and his people at Caltrans have decided they are going to terminate addition north and south freeway lanes on Highway 99 in Tulare and Madera County.
The report also states some $61-million in uncommitted funds will be held in reserve for priority rail projects and other priorities aligned with Executive Order N-19-19.”
