Chicago police ticketed Lightfoot’s security detail 13 times for speeding and running red lights since she took office in May 2019. The city government waived 10 of those tickets…
…Despite the city’s giving Lightfoot’s team a pass on tickets and the accompanying fines, the Chicago City Council last week approved Lightfoot’s 2021 fiscal year budget, which increases fines and taxes to reduce the city’s swollen deficit.
