Flight Attendants Urge Government Not to Take Airline Stakes

The law also allows Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to take a stake in airlines in exchange for the direct payments. That provision could dissuade carriers from accepting assistance, unions representing flight attendants at United Airlines Holdings Inc., UAL -15.04% American Airlines Group Inc., AAL -11.07% Southwest Airlines Co. LUV -8.26% and other airlines wrote in a letter to Mr. Mnuchin on Wednesday.
