In South Carolina some poor people are losing the driver’s licenses due to inability to pay fines, Then they get poorer when they can’t get to work


If someone just flat out CAN’T pay there needs to be an alternative course.( delete :because singles out S.C. In South Carolina a poor person can’t plead their case to anyone.)

People who can pay a traffic ticket move on with their lives, but people who can’t pay are trapped in a cycle of lost jobs and opportunities, poverty, and debt. Paradoxically, this makes it even more difficult for people to pay traffic tickets.
