More $1,200 checks? Maybe $2,000 a month? The new stimulus proposals
Is the foundation being set for “universal basic income”?

Senator Harris, along with Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Ed Markey, D-Mass., proposed a bill in May that would give $2,000 per month to people making under $120,000, plus $2,000 per child for up to three children.
“The government should be here for the people in a moment of crisis,” Harris said during a Monday webcast hosted by news website The Appeal.
So a middle class family with 3 children earning $120,000/year would then make almost a quarter million per year with money from the taxpayers under this proposal? What happens when this subsidized income goes away?
