This is too often the case. And then there’s the flip side, when government is too friendly with business. But the truly crony companies tend to be on the larger end of the spectrum.

Davenport suspects the politicians shut him down because he won’t give money to their friends. The city told him to hire armed guards, but when he hired them, he says he was told, “You’ve hired the wrong guard company.”
