Ridiculous laws are symptom of America’s overcriminalization problem
Laws just keep piling up with each passing year. This is not smart. In fact it can be dangerous. It just enriches the lawyers and intimidates everyone else.

Indeed, actively enforcing these rules would cost significant resources and provide no added benefit to public health and safety, so it makes sense that law enforcement sweeps them under the rug.
But this doesn’t change the fact that if we violate these rules, we could be prosecuted as criminals.
