The government bails out a company in exchange for shares in a company? Once this starts, where will it stop? Is this the new Republican socialism?

“I do” support the government taking a stake in certain companies, Trump told reporters at a White House briefing.
He said the government would help airlines and hotels but didn’t say that would involve buying stock.
