Trump to West Point grads: ‘We are ending the era of endless wars’
Eisenhower warned long ago of the “Military Industrial Complex.” In the decades since this warning to the American people the MIC has expanded exponentially and wars have become never-ending. Trump said he is ending that.

In his commencement address to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Trump told more than 1,000 graduating cadets, arrayed in a social-distancing pattern, that the job of the American soldier is not to rebuild foreign nations but “defend, and defend strongly, our nation from foreign enemies.”
…It is not the job of American forces “to solve ancient conflicts in faraway lands that many people have not even heard of,” he said.
