Voting by mail is just asking for fraud. The problem is that someone else can influence the voter at home and sometimes even mail or deliver the ballot. This, in addition to the logistical problems.

There were extensive problems with the mail-in ballots, with many either arriving too late to be counted, going to the wrong destination or never even making it to the voters at all. By the time all was said and done, it’s not entirely clear if they even produced any valid winners.
