Nutrition and Diet in ASD Healing

Author: Heather Rhodes, DHS, RT(R)CT
An important piece of research has been published, which outlines a roadmap for many who wish to use nutrition and diet to help move children off the autism spectrum.  This protocol is basically what I used to heal my son; however, it took seven years to get him to functional independence.  This is a good start with very little associated risk.

Protocol

  1. vitamin/mineral supplement
  2. essential fatty acid supplement
  3. Epsom salt(2 c) baths + baking soda (1/2 c) 20 min 2X/week
  4. carnitine titrate 50 mg/kg body weight/day max of 2g/day
  5. digestive enzymes
  6. gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free (HGCSF) diet

Vitamin/Mineral List

Essential Fatty Acids

Digestive Enzymes
