CBS’s S.W.A.T. Again Shows another Civilian Defensive Gun Use Gone Wrong

Television show bias against guns is never ending. You won’t see an entertainment television show that has a civilian successfully using a gun defensively. Instead, something always seems to go wrong when guns are used defensively (from being fatally shot by the criminal without stopping the crime to getting in the way of police to continually having the gun stolen and use in a crime to it being used in an accidental shooting), and this episode of CBS’ SWAT is no different (Season 5, Episode 6, November 12, 2021). In this episode, right after a pro-gun woman explains that not having a concealed handgun with you leaves you as a sitting duck, a group of armed men attack the television studio that she is in. When she pulls out her gun to stop the attack, she is fatally shot. The lesson is clearly that she would have been safer if she simply didn’t have a gun. The episode all contains  a segment where the SWAT officers are warning people not to be hero and to leave things to the professionals.

If you watched entertainment television these days, you would never know that people use guns defensively some 2 million times a year.
