Civilian Catches Escaped Convict Guilty of a Triple Murder

The last of four inmates who escaped the Cullman Co. Jail Thursday night has been captured after some help from a Hanceville resident.
Leo Chavez was taken into custody Friday evening by police in Hanceville, about 24 hours after escaping from the Cullman Co. Jail.
Chavez was convicted on three counts of capital murder in March for the murder of his parents.
