Police said the 42-year-old woman was questioned and released. The 24-year-old is under arrest for fleeing and alluding and resisting arrest and obstruction. He’s currently in temporary serious condition in the hospital…

The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. at 2401 Preston Street near Emancipation Avenue. According to HPD, the driver and the passenger, both women, were driving when they allegedly got into an argument.

The woman in the passenger seat then began to choke the driver. The driver told police that is when she pulled over, pulled out a pistol, opened fire, and struck the other woman twice in the leg, Lt. Willkens said…

Wilkens said the driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the police.

Police said the attempted robbery and shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at 14th and Kittatinny Street.

The robbery victim shot the man who tried to rob him with a firearm he legally owned, according to Harrisburg spokesman Matt Maisel…

Maisel said District Attorney Fran Chardo declined to file charges against the shooter. However, Maisel said the man who was shot is charged with attempted robbery and prohibited firearm possession. His identity was not immediately available.

The boy and his uncle were returning to a family party in the 1800-block of West 21st Place in the city’s Heart of Chicago neighborhood when they saw three cars circling the area, Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan told reporters at police headquarters Wednesday.

Detectives said the trouble began around 10:30 p.m., shortly after the elementary school student and his 21-year-old uncle walked back to the party after going to a nearby store to buy a game and noticed the vehicles.

The boy’s uncle, who is a conceal carry license holder, returned fire but doesn’t think he shot anyone…

Police say it all started when the man’s daughter caught someone staring at her through her bedroom window, and she immediately left her room and told her dad.

The father went outside and caught the man near his daughters window. He told police that the ‘peeper’ pulled out a knife and lunged at him.

The father said he pulled out a gun and shot towards the suspect several times. According to police, they didn’t find anyone with gunshot wounds…

Police say the father is not expected to face any charges…

A man who opened fire on a crowd outside a Miami-Dade bar leaving two other men wounded was shot in the arm by a bystander who returned fire and is now facing attempted murder charges, police said.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday outside the Chicagoan Bar at 10702 Northwest 7th Avenue in Pinewood…

Sears was initially thought to be a victim and said his only involvement had been breaking up a fight, the report said.

But when detectives reviewed surveillance footage it showed Sears shooting into a crowd outside the bar, injuring the two victims.

The video also showed a bystander returning fire to try to protect people in the crowd, the report said.

The bystander had approached officers at the scene with the rifle and identified himself as one of the shooters, the report said…

A man turned the tables and shot a would-be robber during an early morning robbery attempt on Oak Lane in Collingdale…

Arriving police spoke to man who advised police he was walking on Oak toward MacDade heading to work when a black Honda occupied by several people passed by with its headlights off.

As he approached MacDade, three people — all dressed in dark clothing, hoodies up and masks on — walked toward him. The man told police he walked into the street to avoid them but the group blocked his path.

He stated that one of the trio pulled what he believed was a handgun from the pocket of the hoodie. The victim then drew his legally owned firearm and fired several times.

The three robbers ran with two getting into the Honda and the other continuing to run…

Three men are in custody after a string of car burglaries led to a shooting early Sunday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office…

Sergeant Josh Catir with JSO said it all started a little before 6 a.m. Sunday. Several neighbors told News4JAX their cars were broken into that were parked on both Price Park Drive and Sundrop Way in the Sunbeam neighborhood.

Investigators said as three men were breaking into cars on those streets, one of the victims saw them burglarizing his car. Catir said the thieves started shooting at the man when they noticed he got into his car shortly after and started following them. The man then fired back, JSO said…

Police said the man followed the burglars more than five miles to Powers Avenue, where they continued firing at each other.

Catir said as the man fired back at the burglars there, he shot the driver of the getaway car. Detectives said the two other men jumped out of the car and ran across the street into the Pointe Sienna apartment complex…

Currently, the man who followed the suspects and shot one of them is not facing any charges and is cooperating with investigators.

St. Louis Metropolitan police officers were working in Ballpark Village at 1:30 a.m. Sunday when they saw two men exchanging gunfire in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

A 38-year-old man said he saw the suspect in a “verbal altercation” with a 21-year-old woman and he tried to intervene.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect responded by shooting the man.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to his left arm. He then got his own gun and shot back at the suspect…

A 57-year-old man will not be charged after shooting and killing a 40-year-old man last week at an Escambia County homeless camp…

According to Sheriff Simmons, Carstarphen got into an altercation at the homeless camp with his girlfriend. He allegedly was beating her and cut her with a knife.

“Another transient seen this and she went to go get a gentleman by the name of Harry Jefferson,” Sheriff Simmons said.

Sheriff Simmons explained that Jefferson came to the woman’s defense, which is when Carstarphen pulled a knife on him. Jefferson then shot him in self-defense.

“Harry Jefferson felt his life was in danger or lives of others were in danger, and he fires a single round at Carstarphen,” he said…

A chaotic scene as Greenfield police responded the morning of Sept. 28. From store surveillance we see a blue Toyota 4-runner. A husband and wife in it were leaving Meijer in search of her favorite hash browns…

Her tells police the man, identified in reports as Eliut Cruz-Cruz, yelled at her husband, Steven Dunlap, claiming Dunlap disregarded a crosswalk…

A fight ensued right outside the doors. Meijer’s camera doesn’t show it, but Dunlap says Cruz-Cruz was kicking him in the face, ribs and arms. A witness called 911 and told dispatch, “There were two guys who were fighting, and a woman came out with a gun and shot one of them.”…

Her says she shot Cruz-Cruz to defend her husband. The gunshot, startling witnesses in the parking lot.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office reviewed the case, deciding to dismiss it with no charges to anyone. The woman, clearly shooting in self-defense. She had a CCW permit with her in the 4-runner.

“Investigators presented the information gathered to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office for review. Following the assessment, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office ruled the actions justifiable,” police said…

Mauldin said Peterson, who had a car at the lot, was involved in an argument with a parking enforcement employee that escalated into shots being fired.

A 31-year tow truck driver was detained after the incident but will not be charged.
