Lee County deputies say 16-year old Hayden Celin tried robbing the Domino’s driver in a failed setup…

As the driver went to leave, Celin allegedly punched him in the face, and shot a water gun loaded with pepper spray into the man’s face.

That’s when the driver pulled out a gun he carries for self-defense, and shot several rounds at the suspect as he drove off…

When 29-year-old Latonya Tucker opened fire on her ex-boyfriend, a person who had been helping him to get away from her pulled out a gun of his own and started shooting back, according to the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office…

Dix said the witness will not be charged because he “exercised his 2nd Amendment right” when he shot at Tucker.

“He was lawfully trying to stop Tucker from causing death or great bodily harm to (the man) as allowed by Georgia law,” Dix said. “He did exactly what the statute allows you to do while in defense of yourself or another person.”

According to the Columbus Division of Police, around 1:41 a.m., Thursday, officers were called to the 100 block of E. Main Street on a shooting near the Pelican Room bar.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Teaira Harris, 26, lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. She was taken to an area hospital where she later died. 

Witnesses told officers there were several small fights inside the bar, and later in a parking lot, Harris pulled a gun and began pointing it at several people, including a 43-year-old man.

The man then shot Harris in self-defense, according to police. 

“At this time, no charges have been filed, and upon completion of this investigation, the case package will be sent to the Franklin County Grand Jury for final review and determination,” police released in a statement…

That man told officers he had been involved in an argument with another man in a group of people. As the argument escalated, the men began to physically assault him, police said.

According to the Piscataquis County District Attorney’s Office, 32-year-old Dustin Boone went into The Store ‘n More in Dover-Foxcroft last Wednesday, pointed what appeared to be a gun wrapped in a sock at the clerk, and asked for the cash in the register.

They say as Boone fled from the store with more than $400 in a paper bag, the clerk followed him out and shot him.

A witness reported Boone was wearing a bandana over his face and pointing his weapon back at the clerk as he ran.

Police say it turns out Boone had a plastic toy gun that looked real…

The incident started just after 10 a.m. in the 8700 block of 18th Avenue East in Midland.

According to deputies, a homeowner received a Ring doorbell camera notification that someone was at his home, so he asked a friend to stop by and check in…

When he got to the house, he was confronted by a suspect at the front door. The suspect held the man at gunpoint and ordered him to come inside the house.

Eventually, the suspect exited the house carrying an AR-15, a safe, and a duffle bag full of stolen items. There was a confrontation outside of the house and the victim said he fired a warning shot from his handgun, which he had concealed in his clothing. Nobody was struck by the gunfire…

The 28-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of kidnapping for forcing Bullock inside at gunpoint, as well as around the house. He’s also charged with burglary and robbery.

A Cleveland man has been charged in connection with a shooting at a drag-racing track in northern Ohio that left an innocent bystander dead and injured three other people, authorities said…

The charge stem from a shootout Sunday at Dragway 42 in West Salem.

Witnesses said the incident began when Perez was reportedly driving a pickup truck recklessly in a parking lot and sprayed gravel at nearby vehicles. Some people nearby began yelling at Perez, and a physical altercation soon ensued.

Perez pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds, authorities have said. Another person there fired back at Perez, and upwards of 20 rounds were exchanged overall before Perez left the scene in a different vehicle…

The person who returned fire at the pickup truck driver was detained for questioning but has not been charged. Authorities said that person has a concealed firearms weapons permit

Hunter later clarified that Perez is not the man who was driving the gray Chevy truck that witnesses said had sprayed gravel at other vehicles.

He also said Perez does not own the truck and does not have a concealed carry permit…

Authorities said the girl, who is in critical but stable condition, was shot about 11:33 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of the Value Inn, 370 West MacArthur Blvd., across the street from Mosswood Park.

Authorities said the girl, who was armed with a taser, and another female juvenile approached a woman in the lot and tried to steal her Porsche Cayenne SUV.

The woman was able to pull a pistol and shoot the girl, authorities said.  The woman fled in another vehicle with another person before police got to the scene, authorities said.  The taser was recovered at the scene…

According to an arrest affidavit, officers with the Midland Police Department were called to the 1400 block of Chestnut Street back on June 14 for a report of a shooting. As officers made their way to the scene, a person called, saying a man had been shot and that he had dropped him in the alley behind a convenience store at Wall and O Street…

According to the affidavit, Moody told police that he had arranged for Richardson and himself to sell a gun to others but had decided they would rob the other group.

Moody said that Richardson shot at the other people to try and steal their money when the other group returned fire, shooting Richardson in the chest…

The second attempted carjacking happened on Ella near Greens Parkway at a Chevron gas station. Houston police are investigating at the scene.

This time, the victim was inside the gas station when a suspect was allegedly trying to steal a car.

Investigators say the victim came out of the store, realized what was happening, and pulled out a gun and started shooting, hitting the suspect a few times…

A man arrested in a fatal shooting in Harrison Township last month will not be charged, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities have said the 66-year-old shot a man, identified as Jomarr Pye, outside the Prentiss Pointe Apartments near Jefferson at about 1 a.m. June 16…

The sheriff’s office reported that the man’s daughter had told him Pye had allegedly assaulted her hours prior to the June 16 shooting. At one point, all three started arguing. During the fight, the father allegedly shot Pye once in the chest with a 9mm handgun, authorities have said…

Deputies arrested the 66-year-old, who had a valid concealed pistol license, and recovered a weapon.

A contractor working at a restaurant in Richmond Heights shot an intruder early Thursday morning.

At around 3:40 a.m., Richmond Heights police responded to Maggiano’s Little Italy at 22 The Boulevard Saint Louis for a report of a shooting.

Police said contractors were working inside the restaurant when a man forced his way into the front entrance and confronted them. One of the contractors, who was armed with handgun, shot the man in his lower body after the suspect charged at him, police said…

Officers were called to the 900 block of Brady Avenue around 11 p.m. for a report of a shooting. A 24-year-old man said he was driving south when Jamarcus James Holiday, 24, pulled up beside him in another car and threatened him, the police report said. The man told police he did not know Holiday.

He then pulled into the parking lot of the Miller Union restaurant and asked the valet to call police, the report said. Holiday pulled into the parking lot, stopped his car in front of the man’s vehicle and blocked him from exiting the lot, police said.

Holiday then pulled the victim out of his car, leading to a “physical struggle” between the two, police spokesman Officer Steve Avery said in a news release. The man told police that as Holiday reached toward his back pocket, he pulled his own gun and shot Holiday three times.

Police said a small handgun was found in the victim’s car after the incident. He told officers he had a permit to carry the weapon, the report said…

Holiday was charged with simple battery and kidnapping and booked into the Fulton County Jail.

The shooting happened at 7:45 a.m. at Hatcher’s Auto Transmission Center on Tuscaloosa Avenue.

Officer Truman Fitzgerald said a store associate was opening the shop for business when an armed man entered and tried to rob him. “They engaged in a shootout,’’ Fitzgerald said.

Bryant was shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead on the scene. Police recovered a handgun from near the deceased male.

The store associate remained on the scene and is fully cooperating with police, Fitzgerald said…

Major Chris Clark of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said two people attempted to rob the restaurant around closing and one of the robbery suspects was shot by a person at the scene…

Sheriffs investigators have not said who fired the fatal shots, but one man could be heard in the background of the 911 call saying that he was a CCW permit holder. Officials have not confirmed that…

On Thursday, testimony regarding a shooting at Blazer’s Restaurant on Carter Avenue in Ashland, Kentucky was heard by a Boyd County Grand Jury, and a No True bill was issued. This means that the Grand Jury decided not to indict 44-year-old Jessica Pereira for shooting her husband, 65-year-old Urban Pereira.

On the evening of June 20, Ashland Police responded to a shooting involving the owners of Blazer’s Restaurant. Jessica Pereira called 911 and said that she shot her husband after he came after her with a knife. Officers found Urban Pereira unresponsive in the restaurant office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds…

The couple attended the Juneteenth event at Central Park that day, and Mrs. Pereira left to do some paperwork at the restaurant. According to police, video footage shows Mr. Pereira arrive at the restaurant minutes later. In the footage, he can be seen yelling at Mrs. Pereira and even trying to grab her at one point.

Further video footage is said to show Mr. Pereira picking up a 14-inch butcher knife and then walk toward the office and his wife. She locked herself in the office. Officers say that the office door frame and bathroom door frame have damage to them, and each of the locks were engaged…

South Tucson, AZ, June 20, 2021 (KOLD News 13)

The South Tucson Police Department said it happened at Cafe Santa Rosa, located at 2615 South 6th Avenue.

The STPD said Aaron Elando, 39, was shot in the parking lot and died at a local hospital.

Authorities said Elando got into an argument with a person or persons inside the restaurant’s banquet hall.

Someone fired a handgun inside the hall and people fled into the parking lot.

The STPD said while in the parking lot Elando, pointed a firearm in the direction of one of the musicians from the band that was performing in the hall.

That band member and his brother fired at and hit Elando several times. They said they did not know Elando and had never met him.

No charges have been filed and there have been no arrests in the case…

Carmichael, CA, June 21, 2021 (FOX 40, ABC 10)

The June 21 incident in Carmichael left three people injured and one person dead. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Zepeda, driving a black pickup truck at the time, ran a pedestrian down in the street then circled back and hit the man again as well as a witness, who came to the pedestrian’s aid.

Zepeda is then accused of ramming another vehicle and pushing it approximately 100 yards before getting out and attacking the driver with a metal object.

Finally, Zepeda is accused of getting into an altercation with a man who was traveling in a large motorhome that was parked on a property in the area. Zepeda allegedly shot at the man before the two began to fight…

Deputies told FOX40 his wife then picked up the gun and shot the assailant in the upper body…

Johnny Hurley, hailed by police as a “good Samaritan” for his actions during the Olde Town Arvada shooting in June, was killed by a single gunshot to the pelvis after a responding officer mistakenly assumed Hurley was the active shooter, according to a coroner’s report released Monday…

The report details the events of June 21, when Hurley confronted active shooter Ronald Troyke, who had just killed Arvada police Officer Gordon Beesley with a shotgun and fired at parked vehicles.

After Troyke returned to his own vehicle to exchange the shotgun for what police have described as an AR-15 rifle, Hurley — who had been shopping nearby when the shooting started — approached the gunman “and shot him several times” with his own handgun, according to the report.

Hurley “removed Troyke’s assault rifle from his body,” Carver wrote in the autopsy report. “Another responding officer then saw the decedent holding the assault rifle, and fired his handgun at him, mistakenly assuming that the decedent was the active shooter.”…

Police say at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday group of men was hanging out in front of the Exxon at the corner of Glenwood and Austin.  According to detectives, 59-year-old Charles Hickman walked up and fatally shot one of the men in the group…

Police said Hickman tried to run away, but while some in the victim’s group scattered, others started shooting at him. He then turned around and fired back, hitting two other men — one in their late 20s, the other in their early 30s. One man shot in the leg and side, the other in the buttocks. Paramedics rushed both of them to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

The young men managed to shoot Hickman multiple times. He ended up dropping his weapon and died on Glenwood. Police don’t know why he would want to kill Jackson, the original victim.

Investigators say more than 50 shots were fired from at least four different weapons. A black car in the gas station lot was left riddled with bullets…

Police don’t plan to file charges against the wounded, calling their actions self-defense.

Officers arrived at about 7:30 p.m. to the Texaco in the 3300 block of South Haskell Avenue, near Dolphin Road, where two men had been shot.

Police said they spoke with a witness and reviewed surveillance video and evidence at the scene and determined that 48-year-old Demetrice Howard approached the witness from the driver’s side of the vehicle and attempted to rob him.

A 19-year-old passenger in the vehicle exchanged fire with Howard, police said…

Police were called Friday to the 9800 block of Interstate 35W, near Basswood Boulevard, where they found the victim wounded on the road. The man, identified as 19-year-old JaDerek Gray of Bedford, was taken to a hospital, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Gray had been splitting lanes as he drove north on the interstate, police said Tuesday, and an SUV’s driver didn’t see him while changing lanes.

He swerved to avoid being hit, police said, then drove ahead of the SUV and parked his motorcycle — stopping traffic on the highway. Gray then walked back toward the SUV and pointed a handgun at the driver, police said.

The SUV’s driver told Gray to put his gun down and that he had children in his vehicle, police said, but then he pulled out his own handgun and shot Gray as he continued to approach the SUV with his gun drawn…

Fort Worth police say the driver of the SUV has been cooperative and was the first person to call 911. Police say right now the SUV driver has not been charged with anything, and it appears he acted in self-defense.

“We encourage people to lock their doors, but just because a car is left unlocked does not give anyone the right to take it,” Simmons said in the written statement. “A criminal broke into his car. A criminal stole his car. A criminal physically attacked him. A criminal got shot. We have no intention of charging the homeowner.”

According to the ECSO, the teen attempted to steal the car about 3 a.m. Sunday from a location in the 2500 block of Southern Oaks Drive in Cantonment.

A video surveillance system alerted the vehicle’s owner, and the vehicle owner armed himself with a firearm and ran toward his parked car. By the time he reached the vehicle, the teenager was inside of it.

The vehicle owner pointed his gun at the teen and demanded that he get out of the car.

The teenager got out of the car and tackled the homeowner to the ground, according to ECSO. The homeowner fired his weapon several times at the teenager but was unsure if he struck his attacker because he ran away from the scene…

A husband and wife, whom authorities noted are both licensed handgun carriers, heard their young daughter scream from her bedroom around 10 p.m. Sunday after spotting a man inappropriately touching himself outside a window, KTRK-TV reported, citing Harris County Sheriff’s deputies…

The couple armed with their handguns headed outside their home located 15000 block of W. Little York in Houston to confront the man, KPRC-TV reported. The father, who also preferred his name not be published, said he and his wife ordered the man to lie down in their front yard until police arrived – though the man did not comply. Instead, he headed toward across the street to a nearby Valero gas station.

The armed couple followed the man to the Valero gas station. Deputies say the wife held the man outside the gas station while the husband went inside and asked the clerk to call 911.

That’s when the man wrestled the handgun out of the wife’s hands and pointed it at her, deputies said.

In fear that the man was going to start shooting, the dad fired his weapon, shooting the man three times, deputies said…

East Chicago police were called about 9:45 p.m. June 30 to the 5000 block of Northcote Avenue, where they spoke with a man who had been shot in the leg.

The man told police he was parking a motorcycle in the alley when two men in a blue vehicle traveling south came to an abrupt stop and got out.

A man in a black jumpsuit held the victim at gunpoint, and the other man patted the victim down and said, “Get ready,” after finding two handgun magazines on the victim’s hip, records state.

The man in the jumpsuit ordered the victim to get to the ground, and as the victim complied he pulled his own handgun and shot at the man in the jumpsuit, records state…

Police said 33-year-old Johnny Campos showed up at the hotel after tracking the mother down who was hiding from him due to family violence. The man was said to be threatening the woman during the argument and that’s when her 18-year-old son shot the victim in the hotel parking lot…
