Officers responded to a warehouse in the 14000 block of South Post Oak Road around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, the armed suspect forced his way into the warehouse and demanded money. Police say the suspect assaulted the business owner with a metal pipe, injuring his arms and head.

Police say, fearing for his life, the business owner retrieved a gun and shot the suspect multiple times…

The motorist had stopped at the Chevron gas station at 3624 W. International Speedway Blvd. near the Volusia County Branch Jail with his family.

Darrell Shamblen, 43, approached the man and his family in their van and started making sexual gestures toward the motorist’s wife, deputies said.

The man then got into an argument with Shamblen, investigators said.

Shamblen left but returned with a metal pipe and hit the man, deputies said.

The victim got out and fired his gun at Shamblen, but did not hit him. Shamblen then ran away, prompting a search by patrol deputies, a K-9 unit, SWAT Team members and a sheriff’s helicopter, authorities said…

Marion, SC, November 5, 2020 (WPDE)

A man has now been charged with unlawful carrying of a firearm and discharging a firearm into city limits.

The suspect, Waldo Crawford, got the charges after he fired several shots from an assault rifle into a crowd of people Thursday night on Jaycee Terrace in Marion, according to Marion Police Chief Keith Parks.

Chief Parks said Crawford initially drove by and fired shots. He added Crawford then parked his car into a field, walked toward the crowd and then fired his weapon.

Reports say someone in the crowd returned fire and shot Crawford in the leg…

Crawford was then booked into the Marion County Detention Center…

It happened November 10, 2020 around 8:45 p.m.

The City of Lovelock Police Department said officers responded to the area of 6th Street and Dartmouth Avenue and found a man in the street with a gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police that the man had broken into a vehicle and was confronted by the owner of the vehicle and two others. The man got out of the vehicle and rushed at them, witnesses said. One of them had a 12-gauge shotgun. Witnesses said when he attempted to grab the gun, he was shot once in the abdomen…

No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation.

Troopers were dispatched to the scene on the 29000 block of Cherry Hill at about 9:50 p.m…

Michigan State Police say the men were hit while trying to rob another man who turned out to have a licensed concealed weapon. The intended victim opened fire in the area of Cherry Hill and Middlebelt roads, and both alleged aggressors were shot.

The men managed to get away during the shooting and drove themselves to a hospital, where one died, police said…

According to OSP, troopers and emergency crews responded around 6 p.m. to Redwood Highway near Elliott Creek Road to reports of a shooting.

The driver of a Chevrolet van was “driving all over the road,” and witnesses believed the driver to be intoxicated, OSP’s initial investigation found. As troopers were responding, the van’s driver stopped alongside of the road and several people tried to detain him until police arrived.

31-year-old Bryan Fitzgerald of Rogue River, later identified as the van driver, tried to leave — hitting 32-year-old Harley Tyrie and 31-year-old Brandy Newell, both of Grants Pass, OSP said.

Tyrie pulled out a gun and fired into the van, hitting Fitzgerald. Neither Tyrie or Newell were seriously injured by Fitzgerald’s vehicle, OSP said…

Emergency crews took Fitzgerald to Rogue Regional Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. His blood-alcohol content was .30 percent, according to police…

A man tried to rob Bizzle’s Boutique, 226 E. Silver Springs Blvd., at gunpoint Thursday afternoon. An employee said he gave the robber money from his pocket and his wallet, which also contained his concealed weapons permit card. The gunman told the employee to open the cash register, which he did. The robber told the employee to go to the back or he would shoot him.

The employee said he ran to the back of the store, leaving the suspect in the business. Outside, the employee got his gun from his vehicle. The employee then saw the robber running along East Silver Springs Boulevard and fired several shots at him…

OPD and FHP officials went to GPD to interview James. After the interview, James was charged with robbery with a firearm, aggravated fleeing and eluding and principle to attempted murder.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters is not filing charges in the November shooting at Mages Grocery Store in East Price Hill…

During the investigation, police discovered that Tye had previously attempted to rob the grocery store on two other occasions prior to Nov. 19.

“This individual did this not once, not twice, but three times,” Deters said in a news release. “The first time he pulled a gun and the second time he assaulted the store owner. We are thankful the owner was able to protect himself.”

The store owner saw Tye approaching the store on Nov. 19 and tried locking the door to prevent him from entering. Tye was able to enter the building before the doors were locked. The owner told police he was “backed into a corner as Tye approached him.”

The owner then grabbed his handgun and shot Tye…

An investigation indicates Aaron Dreyer was in the parking lot of a Lowe’s home improvement store on Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard when he noticed Kenneth Nigg run out an emergency door carrying merchandise and heading toward a waiting car with a woman at the wheel, according to Vancouver police.

Dreyer, 48, drove closer to the car in an attempt to get its license plate information, police said.

Nigg, 22, approached Dreyer’s car and started attacking it with an ax handle, breaking out windows, according to police.

Dreyer got out of his car. And as Nigg moved toward him with the ax handle, Dreyer pulled out a gun and shot Nigg, according to police…

Crossville, TN, November 20, 2020 (WATE)

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call involving a shooting off Butternut Ridge Road in the Rinnie Community. Two white males were driven from the scene after the shooting. One was taken to the Circle K Market and the other was a passenger in a car that crashed on 127 North. The incident stemmed from an altercation that occurred in the driveway at a residence on Butternut Ridge Rd. During the altercation, Kyle D. Nelson, (35) obtained a handgun and then shot the victim, Homer Dewayne Smith, (29) in the abdomen while Smith was sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Carl Smith, (69) was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle where he pulled his weapon and shot Kyle D. Nelson in self-defense. The Smith vehicle then left Butternut Ridge Rd. and crashed on Hwy 127N into a tree… Kyle D. Nelson has been charged with Aggravated Assault and remains in the Cumberland County Jail under a $10,000 bond awaiting a December 7, 2020 court date.

Police said at around 11:10 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 18th Avenue, the armed 14-year-old and a second suspect who is believed to be 15 years old, walked up to the driver.

Police said the 14-year-old pointed a gun at the driver, who is a 75-year-old retired police officer, and demanded he get out of his car.

The second suspect took the man’s cellphone and wallet, police said.

Police said the driver, who has a CCW license, then pulled out a gun as did the 14-year-old.

The man shot the teen, who was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.  Police described his condition as stable.

The second suspect ran from the scene.

Police said the Meals on Wheels driver will not be charged. The 14-year-old is charged with aggravated robbery.

Tuscumbia, AL, November 23, 2020 (News 19)

Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan said the robbery happened at the Fuel City on Highway 72 around 11 a.m. A clerk shot the suspect as he was trying to get away, Logan said.

The clerk, Miranda Mullins, told News 19 she was suspicious of the man when he came into the store because he had his hood up and was wearing sunglasses.

Mullins said the man demanded money at gunpoint. As he was leaving, Mullins said she pulled a gun from under the counter and shot him in the shoulder…

Mullins continued working her shift after the incident.

BCSO says it happened on Saturday night when a man’s wife called 911 to tell them her husband was being attacked by another man, while he was at the Wells Fargo ATM on Bridge near Sunset. Deputies say that attacker was 31-year-old Jaime Roman.

Deputies say Roman went after the man with a machete as he was walking back to his car with his entire family in it. At that point, the man who was attacked by Roman, fired at least one shot, killing Roman…

At the moment, no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made. Because he isn’t facing charges, KRQE News 13 is not releasing his name…

Officers were called the morning of Nov. 28 to the 1600 block of Eastridge Court, where they found Martinez wounded. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and pronounced dead…

Hamilton’s lawyers, Christy Jack and Benson Varghese, said in their statement that he found someone burglarizing his pickup and attempted to detain that man. He shot out of fear he would be hit by the burglar’s vehicle, they said, adding that he has cooperated with police.

Lexington County deputies have arrested a Cayce man who was shot in self-defense after investigators said he fired first in a Saturday night shooting…

“After taking statements from the victims and witnesses, detectives determined Costello fired a few rounds at people in front of a Pear Court home, including two people he had been following in his car to that location,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “We’ve confirmed one of the people is a former girlfriend of Costello’s, another is a concealed weapons permit holder.”

The CWP holder returned fire in self-defense and struck Costello in the upper body, according to Koon. Costello’s injury is not life-threatening.

In a bizarre turn of events in Compton, authorities confirmed Tuesday that a carjacker who died was shot by his intended victim in Compton before being hit by a passing vehicle that kept going.

The shooting was reported at 8:40 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Compton Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department…

“Investigators have learned that a male adult driver — the victim — was stopped at a red light in his vehicle …,” sheriff’s Deputy Trina Schrader said in a statement. “The suspect walked up to the victim while he was seated in his vehicle and brandished a handgun. The victim was armed and shot the suspect.”

The victim “then drove a short distance away for safety, and awaited the arrival of sheriff’s deputies,” she said. “The suspect … was then struck by at least one vehicle traveling westbound through the intersection.”

“The victim … has been cooperating with detectives as the investigation continues,” Schrader said. “He has been interviewed and is not in custody.”

It happened at around 10:30 Sunday night at the Wingstop in the 2100 block Cottman Avenue.

Police said the suspect, a 53-year-old man, came in wearing a mask and gloves.

“(He) walked in, went behind the counter, announced a robbery and asked for all the money,” said Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Before the three employees who were inside could comply with his demands, a customer walked in talking on his cell phone.

“That’s when the robber pointed a gun at that customer and demanded his cell phone,” said Small, who added that the 27-year-old customer quickly decided to fight back.

“(He) pulled his gun (and) fired one shot at the perpetrator, striking him in the neck,” Small said.

The customer, who does have a valid permit to carry a weapon, stayed on the scene and cooperated with police…

At this point, police said it does not look like the customer who fired the fatal shot will face any charges.

Jennings, MO, November 29, 2020 (KSDK)

A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed by a man who he and another person were carjacking at gunpoint Sunday in Jennings, police said.

According to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the City of Jennings Precinct were called to a shooting at 3:47 p.m. at Jennings Station Road and Lewis and Clark Boulevard…

A 53-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene without incident and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. According to a preliminary investigation, Thomas and another person allegedly carjacked the man near the Gas Mart on 9301 Lewis and Clark Boulevard. During the robbery, the man shot Thomas, who also had a gun.

A weapon was recovered from both parties, police said…

The shooting took place just after 5 a.m. in the 100 block of East Redlands Boulevard.

The business owner had gone to check on the property after the alarm went off. He opened the door and found the intruder, according to a Redlands Police Department news release.

There was a confrontation, at which time the suspect “rushed at” the owner, prompting him to open fire, police said. The intruder was shot at least once in the chest…

Charges have not been filed against the business owner, officials said.
