More of Biden’s false claims during his crime speech in Pennsylvania

Here is the piece that Dr. John Lott had at Newsweek on Biden’s crime talk on Tuesday, but his talk was filled with a large number of other inaccuracies, such as “the bullet out of an AR-15 travels five times as rapidly as a bullet shot out of any other gun, five times.” There are a number of guns that fire bullets with equal or greater velocity. Or his constant referencing of AR-15s as “weapons of war” when even the Associated Press’ influential Stylebook makes clear that AR-15s are not weapons used by any military.

“There are certain gun dealers that are basically… Not gun dealers, they’re wholesalers providing the weapons to anybody who have the money.” Biden comments on this simply aren’t serious. He has continued to make this comment. If gun dealers are doing this, put them in prison. But he has a zero-tolerance policy that puts gun dealers out of business if they make a single paperwork mistake, no matter how trivial.

“More children gui- — die from guns than active-duty police and active-duty military personnel combined.” This is an absurd comparison. We aren’t in a war right now. There were 13 soldiers killed in Afghanistan last year in a bombing.

But possibly Biden’s most obnoxious lie was him continuing to repeat the lie about police being murdered during the January 6th riot (“breaking down the doors trying to overturn an outcome of election and killing several police officers . . . Police lost their lives as a result of that day.  Police lost their lives.“). No officers were murdered that day. Only one person was killed, Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old military veteran.

Biden’s speeches are continually filled with demonizing those he opposes.
