Rasmussen Reports Survey: Is it a good idea or a bad idea to make race and gender the basis of choosing appointments to the Supreme Court?

According to a new Rasmussen Reports survey of likely voters in late January, only 26% of voters think that it’s a good idea to make race and gender the basis for choosing Supreme Court Justices. While Trump let people know in advance the people he would appoint to the court, Biden promised to pick someone of a particular race and gender — a black woman. Those who approve of Biden’s approach are blacks, Democrats, liberals, and those who didn’t graduate high school, though for blacks it is relatively close at 49% approving and 42% disapproving.
