A Huge Win

We won. SB 866, the bill to let minors get vaccinated without parental consent, is officially dead. 

Unbelievably, the author blamed his defeat on an “anti-vaxxer harassment campaign.” He then claimed he was only “a couple votes short.” Another Democrat legislator shot down that claim, saying: “believe me…it was more than a couple votes short!”

I’m grateful my last day at the State Capitol could bring such an important victory. As a quick reminder, today is also the last day of August and a crucial deadline for our campaign for Congress. If you haven’t had the chance yet, can you please contribute whatever you can by midnight tonight?
