Calm Before the Storm

This was an action-packed last week at the Capitol. Next week will be as well. I’m spending the weekend knocking on doors, talking to voters.

I’ve written up here a brief explanation of the various deadlines coming up. Here are the worst of the remaining bills:

• AB 2223 is now in the Appropriations Committee. You can see my discussion with Charlie Kirk about the horror of this legislation.
• AB 2098, the medical “misinformation” bill, is also in the Appropriations Committee.
• AB 1479, the testing bill, will be heard by the Senate Education Committee on Wednesday.
• AB 2932, mandating a 32-hour work week, is in the Labor Committee. I discussed on Newsmax how this has again made California a national laughingstock. 

Many of the worst bills, of course, are already dead (I discussed our recent victories on OAN), and I believe we can defeat these remaining bills as well. 

This all comes at a moment of turmoil for the Supermajority: their botched attempt to butcher my gas tax bill, the implosion of the “Vaccine Work Group” bill package, Newsom backtracking on the student mandate, and the committee chair’s profanity-laden meltdown. 

It’s what happens when corrupt politicians start to lose their grip on power. And what’s changing the game is citizen activism: Californians are getting involved like never before. Our movement keeps gaining strength.
