Newsom Has No Regrets
“If they kick me out. I’m gonna feel good about what we just did, and not ever regret a damn thing.”
So it was that Gavin Newsom, in a surreal interview, suggested he would do everything all over ago. Apparently, the world-class cuisine at the French Laundry was worth the bad press.
This might be amusing, if not for a deadly serious reality: Groundhog’s Day is actually upon us. Mask mandates are back, and in recent remarks Newsom has set the stage for another school shutdown.
If I replace him as Governor, that will not happen. That’s what I told a lively crowd at Saturday’s Rally in LA, where I also announced a proposal to dismantle the Los Angeles Unified School District. I’d call for a LAUSD break up bill on my desk by the end of the year.
In recent days, you’ve probably been seeing Newsom’s inane anti-Recall ads, featuring the likes of Elizabeth Warren. These are paid for by Special Interests that own this Governor and are ruining this state. They’ve funneled him $36 million already.
We have a different approach. In 3 weeks we’ve gotten support from 4,904 citizen donors. This is one reason both Democrat and Republican strategists are saying our campaign represents the future and we can win this race.
We also just qualified to be considered for the CA GOP endorsement, receiving nominations from 383 delegates to the convention, the second most of any candidate. And we have a Rally in Redding tomorrow and in Fresno this Saturday.
A year ago I tweeted: “I think California is about due for a major political realignment.” We have 43 days to make that prediction come true.
