Three politicians made news this week and were widely quoted in the Alternative Media as opposing tyrannical COVID-19 measures: U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Alberta, Canada Chief Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw, and Queensland, Australia Senator Malcolm Roberts.

And while it is refreshing to hear politicians push back against COVID-19 measures and stand up for their constituents whom they are supposed to be representing, will anything actually positive result from their public addresses this week in terms of real freedom from COVID-19 medical tyranny?

Malcolm Roberts – Queensland Senator

As we reported earlier this week, Australia is apparently leading the world in medical tyranny right now by locking down their citizens, patrolling the streets with military force in what is basically martial law, arresting and handcuffing grandmas and seniors for not wearing masks, etc.

Paul Joseph Watson of Summit News stated that even Communist China has criticized Australia for its “totalitarian” measures inflicted upon its citizens, and he states that Australia is “now officially a biosecurity police state,” and “a post-democratic country.”

Queensland Senator Malcolm Roberts addressed the Senate this week, and apparently agrees with Paul Joseph Watson. You can watch his speech here. Here is the transcript:

As a servant to the people of Queensland and Australia, I speak tonight on freedom. On many occasions in the last year I have addressed the Senate in regard to freedom as a counterbalance to medical tyranny. And I recently addressed the Canberra Freedom Rally, remotely. The side that is locking people up for the crime of being healthy, arresting protesters, pepper spraying kids, beating up grannies, banning books and electronic messages, censoring social media, sending threatening letters, forcing small businesses to close, urging people to dob in dissenters and banning safe drugs that have worked for 60 years are all on the wrong side of history.

In a frightening development, New South Wales has called in the troops to keep innocent, healthy citizens locked in their homes in what can only be called martial law. Recent freedom marches showed what happens to citizens who exercise their democratic right to protest. People are demonised, hunted down; the media vilifies them to discourage others from questioning the control state. If the government can decide who is free and who is not, then that is not freedom and no-one is free. A crisis will always be found to justify measures designed to protect the government, not the public—a crisis that is as is easy to create as turning up the PCR test from 24 cycles to 42, where a false positive is the most likely outcome, as has occurred.

Actions such as these have created a crisis of confidence in government, and that, fellow citizens, is on the Senate. We are the house of review. We’re tasked with a duty to ensure honesty, transparency and accountability in the government of the day. We have failed in that solemn duty, our duty to our constituents. We have failed those who are yet to vote, our children, who are now being injected with a substance that has not undergone meaningful safety testing. The Liberal, National and Labor parties have colluded to waive these measures through this place, reducing the Senate to the status of a dystopian echo chamber.

Each new restriction, although met with rightful public opposition, has not led to a re-evaluation but, rather, has led the government to crack down even further. The Morrison government is behaving like a gambling addict who loses a hand but doubles down instead of admitting error and walking away. With troops now on the streets, it’s frightening to contemplate where this will end. Everyday Australians are being deliberately demoralised to extract a higher degree of compliance. When COVID first arrived, there were few masks, and the experts and authorities told us masks were not necessary. Now, those same medically ineffective masks are used to condition people to fear and obedience. Crushing resistance crushes hope, and without hope we have no future.

Is it any wonder that small businesses are closing permanently? Every small business that closes is a family that was being provided for through hard work and enterprise. Who will look after those families now—the government? With whose money? The Reserve Bank, using electronic journal entries, can only create fiat money out of thin air for so long before it runs down our country. The government can only sell bonds until buyers stop coming forward. Then what happens? We will have no tax base left to pay government stipends to people who were once able to pay their own way.

Since when has the Liberal Party, the supposedly party of Menzies, been dedicated to making huge sections of the population totally reliant on the government for survival? The bad joke here is that the excuse used to justify the sudden rush to Marxism—public health—is moot. Death from all sources, including coronavirus and the flu, are at historic lows. Australia’s death rate in 2020 was less than in 2019, and 2021’s death rate is lower again. We’re strangling Australia’s economic life and future for no reason. Power has gone to the heads of our elected leaders and unelected bureaucrats, who are exercising powers yet do not feel the consequences themselves.

Never in history has Lord Acton’s famous quote rung more true: ‘Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.’ It’s been calculated that the civil disobedience tipping point—which is the maximum capacity of the police to arrest people, of the jails to hold people and of the courts to process people—is in Australia around 100,000 people. Anything more than that and the system comes crashing down. Attendance at the freedom rallies last month shows we’re almost there.

No wonder the Morrison government has been scared into resorting to the refuge of tyrants—using the military to intimidate civilians into compliance and to mandating injections and threatening to rip away people’s livelihoods.

Everyday Australians are seeing through the smokescreens of fear and intimidation. People now see that the costs of the restrictions to family and community exceed the medical cost of the virus. Everyday Australians have spoken. We will not be divided, we are united, we are one community, we are one nation. (Source.)

Rand Paul – U.S. Senator

U.S. Senator Rand Paul spoke out this week on Fox News, saying something that those of us in the Alternative Media have been saying for over a year now in regards to medical tyranny: Resist. They can’t arrest all of us.

Here is the transcript:

Resist.

They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they should.

We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and feckless bureaucrats. We can simply say no, not again.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi — you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs. We have all either had COVID, had the vaccine, or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices. We will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced into random screening and testing so you can continue your drunk with power rein over the Capitol.

President Biden — we will not accept your agencies’ mandates or your reported moves toward a lockdown. No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates. And if you want to shutdown federal agencies again — some of which aren’t even back to work fully — I will stop every bill coming through the Senate with an amendment to cut their funding if they don’t come to work.

No more.

Local bureaucrats and union bosses — we will not allow you to do more harm to our children again this year. Children are not at any more risk from COVID than they are for the seasonal flu. Every adult who works in schools has either had the vaccine or had their chance to. There is no reason for mask mandates, part time schools, or any lockdown measures.

Children are falling behind in school, and are being harmed physically and psychologically by the tactics you have used to keep them from the classroom last year. We won’t allow it again.

If a school system attempts to keep the children from full-time, in-person school, I will hold up every bill with two amendments. One to defund them, and another to allow parents the choice of where the money goes for their child’s education.

Do I sound fed up to you? That’s because I am.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve practiced medicine for 33 years. I graduated from Duke Medical School, worked in emergency rooms, studied immunology and virology, and ultimately chose to become a surgeon.

I have been telling everyone for a year now that Dr. Anthony Fauci and other public health officials were NOT following science, and I’ve been proven right time and time again.

But I’m not the only one who is fed up. I can’t go anywhere these days — from work, to events, to airports and Ubers, restaurants and stores, without people coming up to me thanking me for standing up for them.

For standing up for actual science. For standing up for freedom. For standing against mandates, lockdowns, and bureaucratic power grabs.

I think the tide has turned, and more and more people are willing to stand up. I see stories from across the country of parents standing up to teacher unions and school boards.

I see members of Congress refusing to comply with Petty Tyrant Pelosi.

We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?

Or will we stand together and say, absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom. (Source.)

Two great speeches by two Senators, one in Australia and one in the U.S. I think it is good for the public to hear dissenting voices over COVID medical tyranny.

But what will become of these speeches? Anything?

There is one thing missing in both of these speeches, and that is any reference to how dangerous the experimental COVID injections are. Senator Paul seems to think that as long as people have a choice, they should remain in the market.

But what about standing up for the children, and the many places throughout the country right now where children as young as 12 years old can “decide” to get an injection without parental approval or even knowledge?

Senator Paul makes a big deal out of the fact that he is a “doctor,” but many dissenting doctors are saying these shots never should have been given emergency use authorization, and that they do not even meet the legal definition of a “vaccine,” but instead are “bioweapons.”

Is this not a more important issue than being forced to wear masks? Do we really want to get sidetracked by making mask-wearing the main national issue against COVID tyranny, when tens of thousands of people are dropping dead after getting these injections, and hundreds of thousands are being injured, based on the CDC’s own numbers?

Is picking a fight with Anthony Fauci over the “science” or lack thereof of wearing masks more important than starting criminal investigations over Fauci’s past crimes, which include using foster care children for HIV drug trials, withholding critical medical information on early treatments for COVID by censoring information about Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and other treatments that could have saved so many lives??

Instead of debating him in public to boost your ratings Mr. Senator, you should be starting criminal investigations and convening a grand jury to charge him with mass murder and crimes against humanity!

Of course if you did that, your political aspirations and career would be over.

Deena Hinshaw – Alberta Chief Medical Officer

This was the most discussed story of the three this week, by far, because it was linked to an interview that Stew Peters had with an Alberta resident named Patrick King who allegedly filed a legal complaint about the Alberta COVID measures and won his challenge, which allegedly claimed that the SARS-CoV-2 virus has “never been isolated.”

As the narrative then proceeds, this Mr. King claims that an announcement by Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) Dr. Deena Hinshaw to pull back on most COVID restrictions, was based on his successful legal challenge.

I must have received more than 2 dozen emails from people this week, begging me to cover and publish this interview with Stew Peters and Patrick King because “The same thing could happen here and we can all go back to normal!”

Yeah, sorry, but I’m not buying it.

It is true that Deena Hinshaw did make an announcement to start phasing out some COVID-19 mandates, which is certainly good news, but where is the evidence that this was tied into Mr. King’s complaint?

Ashley Sadler, writing for LifeSite News, has written what I consider the most balanced reporting on this that I have read so far.

ALBERTA, Canada, August 6, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — After lifting most of its COVID-19 restrictions early last month, Canada’s fourth most populous province is now phasing out COVID-19 testing, mandatory isolation, masking, and contact tracing over the coming weeks.

Alberta will also shut down its controversial quarantine hotels.

Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced on July 28 that the province would pull back from a broad swath of restrictive COVID-19 measures, saying “When we first heard of COVID-19, we knew little of the virus and we had no treatments and no vaccines. Today, we are in a very different place.”

Phase one of the pull-back began July 29, and phase two will start August 16.

“As we have always done, we need to weigh the direct impacts of COVID-19 against the indirect impacts that come from our interventions,” Hinshaw said.

As reported by Canada’s CBC News, under phase one COVID testing for asymptomatic people will no longer be advised though testing will remain available for those with symptoms. Those who do test positive for the virus will be informed and directed to self-isolate, but their close contacts will not be under quarantine orders except in specific high-risk settings.

On August 16 the changes will be more significant, including a lifting of most mandatory masking requirements and the removal of the requirement for any Albertan who tests positive for the virus to self-isolate. Alberta’s quarantine hotels will close.

The pull-back marks a shift in policy and something of a “return to normal” for Albertans.

The move to phase out the remaining public health measures came after Alberta resident Patrick King allegedly demanded scientific proof for Alberta’s COVID-19 public health policiesin a court of law.Some believe this pushed the government to pull back on its COVID-19 mandates. Others doubt that Patrick King’s legal challenge had any impact on Alberta’s policy shift.

In an August 3 interview on the Stew Peters show, King, who works in the oil and gas industry and studied Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Alberta, encouraged viewers to “challenge the public health act in your provinces, in your states, wherever you are.”

“File a challenge against these health acts and that way the judge has no recourse… [except] to subpoena the government officials that are responsible for this,” he said.

A resident of Red Deer, Alberta, King said his legal challenge against the government began when he was fined $1,200 for a December 5 2020 rally against COVID-19 mandates and restrictions, an event which violated the province’s restrictions banning gatherings with more than 10 people.

When King appeared in court in May 2021, he requested proof that the SARS-CoV-2 virus had been isolated, information he said would give the scientific backing to support the government’s sweeping COVID-19 containment measures.

King said he was summoned to court and informed by lawyers for the chief medical officer of health (CMOH) that the CMOH “has no material evidence” to provide in the case, a statement which King understood to mean that no available documentation existed proving the virus had been isolated, and therefore there was no evidence to support drastic lockdown policies.

At a July 24 court proceeding, King said he reiterated his understanding that Dr. Hinshaw, along with Alberta Health Services and the Alberta provincial government, did not have the requested material evidence to prove the isolation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. According to King, the statement was affirmed by the judge.

But it is unclear whether Patrick King’s challenge pushing for documentation proving the isolation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus effectuated the roll-back of Alberta’s COVID-19 policy.

In an August 4 livestream, Rebel News’ Ezra Levant expressed doubt that King’s case was responsible for the phased-out lifting of the remaining restrictions in the province.

“It looks like Patrick King is putting great importance on this statement from the attorney general: ‘the chief medical officer has no material evidence,’” Levant said. “So let me explain as a former lawyer what this means.”

“Patrick King says that this means that Deena Hinshaw the CMOH, chief medical officer of health, has no evidence about the virus. And I don’t think that’s what is written here,” Levant opined. “I think this means that the government’s position is that Deena Hinshaw, the chief medical officer of health, has no material evidence to the proceedings in provincial court.”

“It sounds like Patrick King tried to challenge the basis for the law, didn’t get very far. It sounds like there was a procedural reason for that, and then it sounds like the case against him was dropped,” Levant concluded, noting that “[t]here is no court order, no court ruling in Alberta that struck down masking, testing, quarantine in that province.”

I can’t speak for the Canadian judiciary, but here in the U.S. there have been a multitude of lawsuits filed against COVID-19 tyrannical measures already, by groups such as America’s Frontline Doctors, ICAN, Children’s Health Defense, etc.

And what are the results of those lawsuits so far?

The American judiciary is totally corrupt, and if we are waiting on the courts to set things right here in the U.S. in regards to medical tyranny and COVID-19 directives, then I seriously doubt that anything will change.

As I have stated previously, if we want to see real change in the U.S., we need to STOP depending on politicians, and that includes the judiciary.

Our best hope is in the 2nd Amendment, with mass defections from the military branches and law enforcement agencies, hopefully joining forces with local militia groups, and convening citizen grand juries to bring charges and try corrupt judges, and replace them with honest ones.

But will that ever happen? Or is half the country still depending upon Donald Trump to do everything and be their savior?
