To build a business is one of the most fulfilling challenges you can take on.
Not only can it potentially provide you with a lifestyle that you love full of time and financial freedom, it can positively affect other people’s lives and the world!
As Steve Jobs would say, it’s your chance to leave “a dent in the universe”.
When you build a business, you have a chance to create something from nothing. The journey of taking an idea and turning it into tangible reality is an experience you will never forget. Building a business is a lot like raising a child. It’s a part of you…an extension of you with your DNA infused into it. In the early stages it will consume much of your time, energy and mind. But as it grows, it will start to take on a life of it’s own and become a catalyst for bigger and greater things in your life.
Building a business is also an exercise in overcoming and learning to thrive on adversity. No sugar coating – it’s not easy. In fact it may be one of the hardest things you will ever do.
You will get frustrated, you will second guess yourself, you will have to deal with plenty of uncertainty, doubt, stress, and numerous failures.
But guess what. Nothing worth having comes easy. Most of the greatest accomplishments in this world were achieved in the face of great odds.
If building a business is hard, you are doing it right, and it WILL be worthwhile.
We are meant to struggle for greatness, to fail and learn, to suffer and find meaning in the suffering, to dream, to create, to build and to SUCCEED.
In fact in many ways, entrepreneurship is one of the most human things we can do.
College is not the answer.
If you are worried that you need a degree or some kind of certification to build a business or be an entrepreneur, don’t be.
College won’t teach you anything about business or entrepreneurship that you can’t learn by getting out there and just doing it.
In other words, experience is the best teacher.
