Is New York really “DEAD FOREVER” as this famous New Yorker and investor asserts?


It’s hard to see New York ever totally dying. It’s hard to imagine a Detroit type scenario for the US’s largest city, which is the window to Europe and beyond. It’s hard. But it’s not impossible.

New York as James Altucher knows it may however be forever dead.


In 2005, a hedge fund manager was visiting my office and said, “In Manhattan you practically trip over opportunities in the street.”

Now the streets are empty.
