If you’ve been listening to Successful Dropout for a while, you know that while we believe traditional education is on its way out, continually learning is essential to living a full life. We completely believe in learning and self-educating as much as you possibly can. Luckily, in 2020, learning is getting easier and can be done through podcasts. In fact, we wanted to share with you the best educational podcasts of 2020 that you can glean wisdom from.

Kylon and I love listening to podcasts any chance we are doing tasks that may not be as mentally stimulating. We can do those tasks while learning something new or while adding a different perspective into our life. It’s entertaining and we feel like we’re utilizing those hours in the day for something productive.

So, the next time you’re doing the dishes or driving for a long or short distance, plug your phone in and listen to a podcast. There are a lot of podcasts out there and it’s easy to get overwhelmed, but we chose directly from our subscribed lists on our phones. So, here are a few of our favorites to get you started!

The Tim Ferriss Show is a business podcast unlike any other. Author and entrepreneur Tim Ferriss interviews guests that rarely give interviews, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Popova, and Rick Rubin. Tim is an incredible conversationalist and question asker. This causes for the episodes to be absolutely filled with tangible and useful tactics and routines for you to implement into your life. It’s one of our favorite shows!

A recent find but an instant favorite. Shane Parrish is the founder of Farnam Street and another great conversationalist. He interviews fascinating people all over the world about their mental models and frameworks for living their best life and how they do their best work. He doesn’t release on a regular schedule, but every episode we have listened to has been worth waiting for, making this an incredible show as far as educational podcasts go.

Probably listed as the #1 podcast trending right now, The Joe Rogan podcast is a long-form must listen to show. We personally love it because he brings on incredibly interesting individuals and has a free-wheeling discussion about any topics that may arise. He also will host debates which is great for seeing both sides of a topic as well.

            Top Episodes:

If you are looking at the entrepreneur route, this podcast has some incredible wisdom in taking this path. Even if you aren’t looking at being an entrepreneur, you can still learn something from Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders.

This list of our best educational podcasts is by no means perfect, and we hope to add more as we find more podcasts that you can benefit from.

But, this list will get you started in terms of gaining education in practical life skills, financial skills, entrepreneurial skills and more. You don’t have to go to a formal college to get an education and chances are, you wouldn’t even learn more than half the things from these podcasts in a classroom.
