This is New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson questioning NYC Health and Hospitals (which runs the city’s public hospitals) CEO Dr. Mitchell Katz on the possibility of forced quarantines of people. Katz asserts the city government’s right to do so.
Katz says that decision would be made by New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). This City Council Committee on Health meeting took place via Zoom on Friday May 15, 2020.
